Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It also symbolizes the believer’s death to sin and the ability to walk in newness of life in Jesus Christ. Being an ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership.

In preparing for this important event in your Christian life, please remember the following:

• Be prompt. Please arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled time of the baptism. (as soon as possible after church)
   

• Wear loose-fitting clothing: plain dark shirt (no printing, logos, etc.) and dark pants
   

• Wear proper undergarments – women: bra and underwear; men: briefs/boxers
   

• Bring a towel
   

• Bring an extra change of clothes, including undergarments
   

• Bring a plastic bag for wet towel and wet clothes
